From the website to your first hunt

New to Soul Eater, or back after a long break? Follow these steps.

Create account

Getting started

  1. Create an account. Go to Create Account, pick an account name and a strong password, and add an email address so you can recover the account later.
  2. Create a character. In My Account, choose a name, sex and vocation (sorcerer, druid, paladin, knight or monk). New characters start at level 25.
  3. Download the client. Get it from the download page. It's already set to connect to this world.
  4. Log in. Use your account name or email and your password, then choose your character from the list.

Your first hours

  1. Talk to NPCs. Say hi to start a conversation, then try job, trade or quest. Most of the world's knowledge comes from them. The NPC Guide shows who sells, buys and teaches what, and where to find them.
  2. Train before you travel. Rats, bugs and spiders near the starting town are safe ways to gain your first levels and skills.
  3. Know your vocation. Knights fight up close, paladins shoot from range, sorcerers and druids rely on magic, and monks fight with their fists and harmony.
  4. Carry a rope and a shovel. Many caves and holes can't be reached without them.
  5. Respect death. Dying costs experience, skills and sometimes items. Buy blessings and an amulet of loss once you can afford them.
